Don’t miss your opportunity to support RISE Life Services and have the time of your life too!
While our Fiesta Para Vecinos at Giorgio’s had to be postponed, we will now be hosting a Virtual Fiesta with a live concert on our RISE Life Services Facebook page on May 7, 2020 from 7:00-8:30pm. Tune-in and help us to provide a fiesta for our residents! During this Relief for RISE Residents, we are hoping to raise funds to support the individuals in our houses during the COVID-19 crisis. Why?
We are all stuck at home and feeling cabin fever, right? Imagine how someone with developmental or mental health challenges may feel at this time. We would like to provide them with activities to keep morale high. This encompasses all things indoors and outdoors: plantings for the yard, interactive games, and even being able to have a special meal delivered from a local restaurant. The simplest of things become the most important during a time like this one. Having enough money to share with each of our houses to enhance their days, bring happiness and improve their overall health in return is our goal for this event, Relief for RISE Residents. Join us and help us to bring the fiesta to them! Our staff thanks you in advance.
Gissel is a singer/songwriter born and raised in Culiacán, Mexico. Her love for music and performing came at an early age being raised in a family of career musicians. She had the opportunity as a young teenager to travel Mexico with Rondalla groups winning national contests. When she was 17 she was hired to work on a Nationally Televised show called Disco de Oro as a backup singer for gold record artists in Mexico city. She moved to the US at the age of 20 and has taken the LI music scene by storm. You can find Gissel performing solo with her powerful vocals and acoustic guitar, rocking out with the Gissel Garcia Band or dancing the night away with Bachatu in venues across the tri-state area.
