Receptionist
Description

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serves visitors by greeting, directing and announcing them appropriately.
  • Answer, screens and forwards phone calls while providing basic information when needed;
  • Responsible for organizing all main office events including ordering and picking up food, decorations, cards, etc. for special occasions as well as coordinating arrangements for deliveries (flowers, office milk, etc.);
  • Ensures reception area is clean and tidy. This includes delivery boxes and supplies are out of the area in a timely manner;
  • Adheres postage to outgoing mail, sorts incoming mail, and arranges for postage machine to be funded at all times;
  • Prepare receipts for receivables (rent, cable, fundraising, etc.) and provides a weekly report;
  • Supports the Human Resources Department when needed with clerical tasks;
  • Additional responsibilities assigned by supervisor as needed
Qualifications
  • Self-Starter
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to problem solve and multi-task
  • Experience working in a busy reception area
  • Typing skills 50 wpm and excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook software preferred
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

High school diploma with 2 + years’ experience successfully running a busy reception. Valid NY State Driver’s Required.
