RISE Life Services values its continued partnership with People’s United Bank and also working with the team at the Riverhead branch. People’s United Bank has supported the efforts of RISE Life Services in many ways.

People’s United Bank participated in the March 2018 Shamrock Shindig event as a featured sponsor of this annual fundraiser. The event was a great success and helped raise necessary funds for programming and continued expansion of services.

Additionally, in April, RISE was awarded a grant from the People’s United Community Foundation for our Main Street Market Food Pantry, located in Riverhead. The grant has helped to fund location improvements and to cover additional staff expenses as the program expands. RISE’s food pantry is open to everyone who may need assistance, does not limit food amounts or require identification to pick-up food. The food pantry is also utilized by our residents, who regularly rely on the organization to supplement their weekly needs of food and toiletries.

“People’s United Community Foundation is proud to support the Main Street Market Food Pantry, and to help improve the locations’ services in response to the hunger relief efforts in the Riverhead community,” stated Karen Galbo, Executive Director of People’s United Community Foundation.

Currently, RISE coordinated with People’s United Bank to offer an upcoming free seminar to our organization’s staff. Mortgage experts from the bank will visit the RISE Life Services administrative offices and host a free informational session to those interested in learning more about mortgages. The session includes details on first time homebuyer programs; advantages to refinancing your home; and learning the process to pre-qualify for a mortgage. The seminar will be held Wednesday, August 22 from 1 to 2 p.m. We are grateful to have access to this extremely useful information for our staff in navigating mortgages and home buying.
