Volunteers from Day Program Help Food Pantry

The Main Street Connection, RISE Life Services’ day program without walls, has been helping RISE’s Main Street Market food pantry each week. Every Monday, the group travels to the Island Harvest warehouse to pick up food donations supplementary to the weekly allotment received during Wednesday’s delivery. Participants of this innovative program are afforded the opportunity to use and build upon their current skill set to integrate into the community.  The “Day Program Without Walls” offers a choice of daily activity with more flexibility than a traditional certified site-based program.
