Help us
change lives

Your donation goes a long way

Please take a moment to consider supporting RISE Life Services (an Aid to the Developmentally Disabled Company) work to create an environment whereby people with a range of abilities are actively encouraged to develop and direct services that recognize their unique desires, ambitions, values, and abilities.

Your support of RISE Life Services can help our agency continue to provide the highest quality of care to the individuals that we serve. Individual contributions allow for the development of important programs to provide services that are not funded by other sources.

Your donation can help us maintain the beautiful Northville Sensory Garden which adds to the therapeutic and rehabilitative process to the individuals who visit there. Donations will provide additional recreational and educational opportunities for the individuals we care for.

All funds will be used to directly support people with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges. Your donation is tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We rely on the support of our community to reach our goals.

If you have any questions about making a donation, please email us at support@riselifeservices.org.

In Memory of Anthony Galano Jr.

JULY 24, 1938 – JUNE 24, 2023

Anthony Galano Jr., age 84, of Stony Brook, New York passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023.  Beloved husband of Nancy for over 57 years. Loving father of Anthony III and Michael (Sandra).  Cherished grandfather of Michael A. and Thomas J. Dear brother-in-law of Carolyn Vreeland and Uncle to his nephew William Vreeland and nieces Carolyn (Vreeland) Everson and Catherine (Miller) Chesebro.  Tony was born in Brooklyn and was raised there until age 10 when his family moved to Elmont, where he graduated from Sewanhaka High School in 1956.

He joined the Army in 1959, served as a cook and was honorably discharged in 1961.  Tony was a philanthropist for over 40 years, initially as a member of the Nassau County Rotary, then as a Board Member for Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County, he organized the Annual Forget Me Not Ball for 20+ years, raising over $1 Million.  Tony came to Rise Life Services 6 years ago and was instrumental in obtaining contributions to Rise’s fundraising events.  We remember Tony as an Army veteran and life-long commercial and industrial real estate executive, who loved to help people, share stories over a meal at Rao’s, fish and hunt.  Tony and Rise’s Executive Director Charles have been friends for over 21 years.

A memorial service will be held on August 26th, 10:45am, at St. James R.C. Church (429 Route 25A, Setauket, NY 11733). A lunch will follow the service at The Country House (1175 North Country Road, Stony Brook, NY 11790).
