Give Us a Helping Hand, so We Can Help Others.

Executive Director of Rise Life Services Charles Evdos was interviewed by Fox Business News late last week, about the Rise Main Street Market and the drastic increase in overall need for food pantries.

Rise Life Services has its own food pantry “The Main Street Market” which has served communities local to Riverhead for many years.

“We are up about 300% from two years ago,” said Charles, “due to inflation, people are living paycheck to paycheck. Our goal is to purchase refrigerator vans so that we are able to take food into the areas where there is real need,” said Charles Evdos. Evdos noted that they also serve the house-bound elderly population, which would also benefit from additional trucks.

RISE is a nonprofit organization that was established in 1980 as Aid To The Developmentally Disabled (ADD) by family members who were concerned about the physical and emotional decline of patients compelled to live in crowded institutions. Today RISE operates thirty two homes and multiple different programs and services all around Long Island.
